Eleanor Pizzano

Eleanor P. Pizzano, passed away on December 17, 2001. She was a resident of Port Orchard, Washington since 1988. Eleanor was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts on July 24, 1921 to Robert and Annie(Pike) Lee. She was youngest of eight children.After graduation from high school, Eleanor worked as a payroll clerk for Seconi Mobil Corporation in Boston. Her career as an accounting clerk spanned almost 40 years and included Hood Dairy, Honeywell Corporation, and Bose Corporation, where she retired as Payroll Supervisor.She married Carlo Pizzano of Revere, Massachusetts in 1947. They raised their three children in Natick, Massachusetts.Eleanor was a beloved wife and mother, and leaves behind many family and friends. Her son, Robert and his wife, Donna, of College Park, Maryland; two daughters, Carla Pizzano and Donna Hopper and her husband, Donald, all of Port Orchard, Washington. Eleanor adored her (surviving) grandchildren; Dawn Lee(Hopper) Wedell, Deanna Lynn Hopper, Lucian Blue Pizzano, Robert Carl Pizzano, Anna Maria Pizzano and Carlo Forbes Pizzano. Her first great-grandchild is expected in March 2002.Eleanor was preceded in death by brothers, Ken, Bob, Frank, and Jack; sisters, Marion, Emily, and Rowena; husband, Carlo, and her granddaughter, Eleanora.Services for Eleanor will be held at Rill Chapel on Thursday, December 20, 2001 at 11:00 a.m.. A private graveside ceremony will be held for the immediate family on December 21st. The family requests memorial donations be sent to Hospice of Kitsap County, Post Office Box 3416, Silverdale, Washington, 98383.All arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home.
