Elise Christine Fulton of Port Orchard, Washington, was born December 2, 1985 in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Jeff and Linda Fulton. However, just over a year ago, Elise was diagnosed with leukemia. Acute myeloid leukemia claimed her life on March 4, 2014, at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, Washington. She was surrounded by the love and support of friends and family as she peacefully took her first breath in heaven.
God must have needed another angel to help pour out the rain and to watch over us. She spent much of her preteen and teen years singing into a hairbrush and creating dances for entertainment for herself and others. Elise has always been a source of humor and a ham for the camera. She was great at making each person feel welcome. She didn’t care who you were, where you came from or what you may have done; she just cared about everyone, and considered each acquaintance family.
She was a daughter, mother, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend. The love of her life, her son Joey, is Elise’s legacy. At the tender age of 28, she wasn’t ready to give up her job of being two and a half year old Joey’s mom. Joey was the center of her world. She craved time with him more than anything else. Now her time will be watching over him, from above, and guiding her parents as they guide him in the ways of the Lord and the life Elise dreamt of giving little Joey.
Elise was one of the most vibrant young ladies. She was worried that she wouldn’t make an impact during her life and that nobody would know she was gone. Quite the contrary has happened. Within minutes of people hearing about her passing, people were flooding the internet and phones with messages of how wonderful she was and how she had touched their life. The Family Worship Center announcement of Elise’s passing has received over twelve thousand views. Some people have started reading their Bible again, friends are rekindling relationships and others are changing their outlook on life based on the strength she showed and the impressions she made.
We mourn the loss of this dear angel. She has left a huge hole in our lives. However, she left behind a legacy of kindness, compassion and loyalty toward friendships and family. She is survived by her son, Joey, parents Jeff and Linda, brother, Brad, grandparents, Linda Lanning, Frank Fulton, C. Jerry Edens, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Celebration of Life service at Family Worship Center at 3649 W Frontage Rd, Port Orchard, Washington, on Tuesday, March 11, at 1:00 p.m. After the service there will be a short reception followed by a graveside service at Sunset Lane Memorial Park, 1000 Bethel Avenue, in Port Orchard, Washington.
