Elizabeth Mae Adair (Betty) died July 11, 2002 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. She was 89.She was born in Billings, Montana September 16, 1912 to Hugh and Mentie (Cellars) Morrow. Her father died 2 months before she was born.She graduated from Billings High School of Billings, Montana in 1930. She attended business college in Billings, Montana in 1933.Betty married Roy L. Adair in Billings, Montana in 1948.She was a Contract Specialist in the supply department at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. In 1967 she became Director of Contract Administration Division of the supply department at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. She worked there 28 years and retired in 1970.She enjoyed salmon fishing, golfing, swimming, dancing and traveling. She was a longtime member of Clover Valley Golf Club and Port Orchard Eagles.She is survived by nephew Robert A. Morrow of Fremont, California; nieces Barbara Norman-Dexter of Oregon, Clairice Peters of Denver, Colorado, Dona Costello of Seattle, Washington and Margie Brickley of Portland, Oregon.She was preceded in death by brothers Donald (1920), R. Harry (1971), and Warren Hugh (1972).Services will be held at the Rill Chapel of Port Orchard, Washington Juy 26, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will be at the Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard, Washington.Memorial Donations may be made to:Doernbecher Childrens' HospitalOregon Health and Science University3181 S.W.
