Elizabeth Hollinder, 32, went to be with the Lord on November 23, 2016. She was born in Pasco, WA on August 14, 1984 to Eric (Buck) and Patricia Hollinder. She was raised with her her 3 older siblings Katrina, Ben and Amanda. The family moved to Port Orchard, WA in 1987. Elizabeth loved her community dearly and could be seen enjoying many local events including concerts, fairs, parades and other holiday festivities. She graduated from South Kitsap High School in 2005 and spent 10 years working in Bremerton for Peninsula Services in The Gift Garden.
One of Elizabeth's favorite passions was music. Country music was her favorite, but she also enjoyed everything from rock and roll to opera to kids songs. She loved going to concerts, but got just as much enjoyment listening to music in the car. She would "dance" around in her seat and sing along with every song. One of her favorite musical acts was local entertainers Cowboy Buck and Elizabeth. She would follow them around to different events and eventually developed a friendship with them.
Other hobbies included traveling, casinos, and attending Rainiers baseball games with her dad. She participated in many sports with The Special Olympics. She competed in swimming, bowling, basketball, track and baseball. Elizabeth was a big fan of WWE wrestling for most of her life. She also loved shows or movies with a character named "Elizabeth", particulary The Walton's. She had a flair for the dramatic and would often act out all of the scenes.
Elizabeth had a great love of life and people. She made friends easily with her outgoing personality and her humor. Her gentle smile, laughter and hugs will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was easy to love, impossible to forget, and will forever be in our hearts. Elizabeth is survived by her parents Buck and Patricia, her sister Katrina, brother Ben (Sandra), sister Amanda, nieces Tiffani, Joycelyn, Kaitlyn and Zylanna, nephews Dartanyan and Brayden, her grandparents Flanagan, and many aunts, uncles and dear friends. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 2nd at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Elizabeth's name to The Holly Ridge Center at Givens Community Center.
