Elizabeth Smith

Elizabeth A. Smith, 88, a resident of Port Orchard died April 26, 2010 in Port Orchard. She was born August 15, 1921 in Ringsted, Iowa to Armand and Anna (Andersen) Madsen. She married John F. ‘Jack’ Smith in Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death in 1998. She worked s a book keeper for the Olympian, retiring after 20 years in 1982. She loved to sew and was an accomplished seamstress. She also loved doing needle point and knitting. She truly enjoyed her Friday night “Happy Hour” gatherings at the combdo, for which she enjoyed getting dressed up. She is survived by her daughter Judy Owen (Leon) of Port Orchard; sister Patricia Simmons of Waterloo, Iowa; three grandchildren Russell, Alexis and RJ; three great-grandchildren Chelsea, Jordan and Kaylee. She was preceded in death by her son Gary Smith. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Rill’s Life Tribute Center.
