"Elizabeth Spicer, loving wife, mother, big sister, and friend was born May 19, 1914, in Russellville, AR, and went to our Lord on May 16, 2002, in Port Orchard, WA. Elizabeth was married to Herbert D. "Buddy" Spicer in 1950, moved from Port Arthur, TX, to Bridge City, TX, in 1954, and lived there forty-two years until three years after Buddy's death in August 1993. She was the first child of Minor and Alma Lyttle, had six siblings, and remains in the hearts of four of them, Robert Lyttle, James Lyttle, Louis Lyttle, and Ann Dopson. Her brothers Charles and Bill preceded her to heaven. For the last six years, Elizabeth has lived in Washington State near her son, Richard Spicer and his family, wife Margie, son Josh, daughter Haley, and Richard's mother in law and Elizabeth's care giver, Liz Dunn. Elizabeth taught junior high english for a number of years in Bridge City and at Woodrow Wilson Jr. High in Port Arthur. She was loved by family, friends, neightbors and her students. She will be greatly missed.
