Ellen Ross

Ellen Lucille Ross of Allyn, WA died November 22, 2006 at her home due to ALS (Lou Ghrig's Disease). She was 85. She was born April 3, 1921 in Ohio to Lloyd Weber and Grace (Knoop) Weber. Ellen married Bruce Ross April 25, 1944 in Port Jefferson, Ohio. She graduated from Perry Township High School in Sydney, Ohio in 1939; and, from Toledo Nurse College in Toledo, Ohio in 1942. She attained a degree for Registered Nurse. Ellen worked as a nurse for 40 years in California - retiring in 1983. She retired as Supervisor of Nurses Orthopedics. She was a member of North Mason United Methodist Church in Belfair, WA; was a member of Belwood Home Association in Allyn, WA. Ellen loved to do gardening, play Bridge and card games, collect antiques; and, loved "Mikey" her cat. She is survived by son - David (Marsha) Ross of Naperville, ILL.; daughter - Carol (Wally) Beard of Belfair, WA.; sister - Betty Heintz of OH; 9 grandchildren (local: Shellie Morris of Belfair, Lacey Bergdahl of Allyn, WA., John Ross of Seattle, WA); and, by 14 great-grandchildren. Ellen was preceded in death by her husband - Bruce. A Funeral Service will be held at North Mason United Methodist Church on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Twin Firs Cemetery in Belfair, WA.
