Elsie Glidewell

Elsie Glidewell died March 31, 2003 at Harrison Memorial Hospital. She was 84.She was born in Rainier, Oregon on December 7, 1918 to Jens and Mary (Greenhill) Olsen.She married Clyde Glidewell in 1977 in Port Orchard, Washington.Elsie graduated from Rainier High School in Rainier, Oregon; and, attended N.W. Bible College in Seattle, Washington.She loved gardening. She was always willing to help and serve others even when she, herself, wasn't feeling good. Alway a kind word - even to strangers.Elsie was a member of Christian Life Center in Port Orchard, Washington. She loved to play the organ and loved to sing in church.She is survived by daughter - Mary Falor of Nashville, Tennessee; sisters - Christine Grischkowsky (and husband, Oscar) of Corvallis, Oregon, Elna of Las Vegas, Nevada; 3 grandchildren: Cheri Jonasson (and husband, Brian), Joannie Miller (and husband, Jim), Callie Simpson (and husband, Eric); 7 great-grandchildren: Amber, Chandie, Jeremy, Janie, Amanda, Pasha, Danica; and 1 great/great-grandchild: Aundrea. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Glidewell, and by her son, Danny Johnsen.A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2003 at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington.Memorial donations may be made to:Christian Life Center1780 S.E.
