Elsie Herdman

Elsie Herdman has been an amazing gift to those who knew and loved her. She began her life in New York City and after her father’s death moved to Bremerton, WA to be near her brother Alfred Sauerbrey. She married William S. Herdman May 3, 1947. Bill and Elsie raised 5 children in Port Orchard. Bill Herdman passed away in February 1996. They leave behind 5 children, 13 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.  Elsie is described by her family as an angel on earth. She is a one of a kind person that never had a bad thing to say about anyone. She is the picture of love and support. She is a rock, a solid character, a classy lady. Love, Joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self-control are the attributes of Elsie Herdman. None of us could have asked for a better mom or grandma. We often call her the best mom in the whole world. She is the prettiest mom in the whole world. Her beauty shines from the inside out. Her sparkly blue eyes say it all… true love for all of us. We will be forever grateful for having an amazing gift of Elsie Herdman as our love.   For those who knew and loved Elsie please join us for an open house at the family home on Saturday, September 26th from 2 to 4pm.
