Elsie Marie Nelson

Elsie Anna Marie Nelson, Age: 94, resident of Port Orchard, Washington, died on January 7, 2002, at Ridgemont Terrace Care Center in Port Orchard.Elsie was born on May 15, 1907 in Butterfield, Minnesota to August and Minnie(Elting)Schwietert. On May 18, 1925, she married Nelson S. Nelson in Elkpoint, South Dakota. Mr. Nelson preceded her in death in 1995.Elsie was a Homemaker, who truly enjoyed making crafts. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Port Orchard.Elsie is survived by a son, Jack Nelson of Port Orchard; a step-daughter, Virginia Hottinger of Wisconsin; a brother, Ferd Schwietert of Chicago, Illinois; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.A private inurnment will take place at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard. The family has asked that any memorial donations be made to First Lutheran Church, 2483 Mitchell Road, Port Orchard, Washington, 98366.All arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home and Crematory.
