Emil R. Eggert, 93 of Port Ludlow, Washington, died in Poulsbo, Washington on July 18, 2000. He was born on August 7, 1906 in Aurora, Illinois to Ludwig W. & Maria (Nimmich) Eggert. Emil married Dorothy E. Miller on April 30, 1932 in Aurora.Mr. Eggert worked as a Machinist for over 50 years with Burlington and Southern Pacific railroads, and Puget Sound Naval Shipyard where he retired in 1975. He was a member of Elim Lutheran Church in Port Orchard, Washington. Surviving are his wife; sons Robert Eggert of Buena Park, California, David Eggert of Omak, Washington, and John Eggert of Paradise, California; daughters Nancy Lake of Pahoa, Hawaii, Mary Ronen of Port Ludlow, and Linda Pudwill of Kapoa, Hawaii; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 10 siblings.Visitation is Sunday, July 23, 2000 from 1:00 to 2:00pm at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard followed by a funeral service at 2:00pm.
