Emily Ruth Hill

Emily R. Hill, 88, died at her home in Port Orchard, WA on June 3, 2013. She was born August 29, 1924 in Port Orchard to Carl R. & Jane Ann (Kieth) Erdman. She graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1941 and married Max E. Hill February 1, 1941. He preceded her in death in 2004.

Emily was a homemaker. She enjoyed flowers, especially Roses. She liked traveling to Israel, reading, crossword puzzles, and her cats and dog. She enjoyed giving gifts to St. Judes. She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard, NARFE 888 in Port Orchard, and was a Master Gardener.

Surviving are daughter Diane (Wilbur) Lemon; sister-in-law Mary Breed; nieces Loretta Ridgeway of Port Orchard, Jean Graves and Linda Hammond of CA; and her extended family. Emily’s special friends include Nora Christiansen, Julia Bowman & Heather Odgen. She was preceded in death by her son Gary M. Hill in 1960.

Viewing will be from 10:00 to 11:00 am Friday June 14, 2013 at St. Gabriel Catholic. Funeral Mass at 11:00 with burial at Sunset Lane Memorial Park. Reception immediately following burial at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.
