Emily Mae Hill, 93 of Port orchard, went to be with the Lord after a long battle with Alzheimers. She was born June 13, 1917 in Powell, Wyoming to Fred & Alice Snyder. She married Hobert Hill on October 4, 1946 and he preceded her in death in 2005. Emily served in the U.S. Army as a Nurse during WWII and survived a kamikaze attack on her hospital ship. After the war, she continued her nursing career in Washington, Arizona, and Tennessee. Emily & Hobert spent their retirement years traveling throughout the country. Surviving are sons Bill (Mary) and Larry (Penny); daughter Carol; sisters Ruth Grey & Helen Patton; numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Emily was a loving & caring woman and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Many loving thanks to all the wonderful staff at Life Care of Port Orchard. Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 pm on May 17, 2011 at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard with burial following at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.
