Emma Meeker

Emma Louise Meeker of Port Orchard, Washington died at Ridgmont Terrace on April 11, 2004. She was 84. She was born January 7, 1920 in Huntsville, Missouri to Joseph Bowden and Cora (Elliott) Bowden. Emma Louise married Orville Meeker July 24, 1961 in Elko, Nevada. She attended school in Huntsville, Missouri. Louise was a local artist in the Gig Harbor and Olalla area. She enjoyed gardening, camping, family and reading. She is survived by her husband - Orville Meeker of the Port Orchard, Washington family home; daughters - Linda J. Cordova of Port Orchard, Washington, Anita L. Van Ruth (& husband, Jim) of Poulsbo, Washington; brother - William Bowden of Loomis, California; sisters - Betty J. Meeker of Port Orchard, Washington, Mary E. Drllevich of Olalla, Washington; 4 grandchildren (Rick Cordova, Ann Wilson and Tina Whitney - all of Port Orchard, Washington and Jamey Van Ruth of Bremerton, Washington). She was preceded in death by: son - Allen Meeker, brothers - Roy and Joe Bowden, sisters - Anna Wilcox and Kate Cardenas. A graveside service will be held April 16, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Fraola Cemetery. A gathering, following the graveside service, will be held at the Meeker family home.
