Erma Ecklund

Erma "Rose" Lee Ecklund of Ocean Shores, Washington (and former resident of Port Orchard, Washington from 1986 to 2003) died January 31, 2004 at Harbor View Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. She was 69. She was born December 5, 1934 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas to Oliver and Erma (Bond) Smith. Rose married Darvin D. Ecklund in 1983 in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. She was a former bookkeeper with Peoples Bank in Renton, Washngton; and, a former florist with Malesis Florist in Renton. Rose was a member of Port Orchard Eagles. She is survived by sons - Dan Willcocks of Port Orchard and Tim Buntain of Aberdeen, Washington; daughters - Candy Burt of Burien, Washington, and Nancy Watson of Ocean Shores, Washington; brother - Toby Tyler of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sisters - Polly Mills of Kent, Washington and Mary Chard of Peoria, Arizona; numerous grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband - Darvin D. Ecklund. A funeral service will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington on Thursday, February 5, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment will will follow at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard, Washington.
