Erven ''Howard'' Watson, Jr., 75 of Port Orchard, died at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington on June 14, 2000. He was born in Iola, Kansas on June 15, 1924 to Erven & Nancy (Smoot) Watson. Howard attended South Kitsap Schools. He married Irene Bjorkheim on September 5, 1947 in Port Orchard.Mr. Watson worked for 31 years at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington retiring as a Shipfitter in 1973. He served in the Army Airforce from 1942 to 1945 during World War II. Howard was a Past President of Port Orchard Eagles (2338) and Past President of Retired Eagles Activity Club.Surviving are his wife; son Michael Watson of Port Orchard; daughters Peggy Blowers & Kathy Peterson both of Port Orchard; sister Joyce Robinett of Riddle, Oregon; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sister Marian Riggs.A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2000 at 1:00 PM at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard. Memorial Donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
