Erven Williams

Erven James Williams, 86, a former Port Orchard resident, currently residing in Quilcene, died in Bremerton on December 3, 2009 of natural causes. He was born in Cashe, OK on May 18, 1923 to John and Sally (Horton) Williams. He married Leona Jean Evens in Fort Hood, Texas on July 30, 1943 while serving in the U. S. Army from 1943 t0 1946.   He owned and operated Pete’s Gun Shop and Sports Unlimited in Port Orchard and was a General Contractor when he built the original facility of Christian Life Center in Port Orchard where he was a member. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, studying eschatology, archeology and history, was an avid Mariners fan, but mostly loved his very large family.  He was preceded in death by daughter Tania Davis and her husband Dan; granddaughter Karissa; grandsons Jeffrey Risch and David Jackson. He is survived by his loving wife Leona; sons James (Nancy), Greg (Rebecca) and Timothy Williams; daughters Linda Johnston (Robert), Marcia Storm (Reagan), Karen Risch (Randy), Sandra Davis (Steven) and Tamra Williams (Jesse); sister Betty Sparks, 27 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.  Memorial service will be at Christian Life Center in Port Orchard on Saturday, December 12th at 10:00 am.
