Estelle Thies

Estelle V. Thies, 87 of Port Orchard, died in Bremerton on October 21, 2008.  She was born August 11, 1921 in Norwich, Connecticut to Marcel & Josephine Yankowski.  She married Thomas U. Thies February 22, 1945 in New London, Connecticut. Estelle worked in Food Service for South Kitsap School District for many years.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, cooking and collecting cookbooks. Surviving are husband Thomas; daughters Toma Jo (Leonard) McCready of Port Orchard and Susan (Gary) Evans of Chula Vista, CA; grandchildren Jennifer (Evans) Brinkman, Heather (McCready) Spain, Brian Evans, Amanda McCready, Kellie McCready & Erin McCready; and great-grandchildren Skylynn & Kylar Gregory, Luke & Caleb Spain, & Haley, Minnie & Michael Brinkman. Celebration of Life Service at 10:00 am on Monday, October 27, 2008 at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard with interment following at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington at 1:45pm.
