Esther Clements

Esther Helen "Dolly" Hanni Clements, 71, of Dewatto Bay, WA, died August 9, 2003, at her home of cancer.She was born January 24, 1932, in Bothell, WA, to Lilly (Stoltenberg) and Ernest Hanni. Esther graduated from Issaquah High School in 1949. On June 9, 1951, she married Mervyn E. Clements. She was employed at Fort Lawton, WA, working for the US Army in civil service for 2 years. She then worked at the Kent Nursery in Kent, WA, for 15 years retiring in 1988. Esther enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends, gardening, and working with arts and crafts. She was a 45er from Kent High School, belonged to the RV Club, and was of the Episcopalian faith. Survivors include her husband of 52 years Mervyn Clements, of Dewatto Bay; sons Jim Clements and wife Anna, of Renton, WA, and Tim Clements and wife Pam, of Edgewood, WA; daughter Cynthia Terwillegar and husband Charlie, of Renton; brothers Ed Hanni and wife Orlanda, and Pete Hanni and nephew Jordan, all of CA; sister Marie Gallagher and husband Bill of Issaquah, WA; and grandchildren Shauna, C.J., Kaleb, Carlee, and Matt Clements, and Tavlen, Kelley, and Landis Terwillegar. A memorial gathering will be held Friday, August 22, 2003, 12 Noon, at The Inn at Gig Harbor. Memorial donations can be made to Providence Sound Home Care and Hospice, 2146 W.
