Esther Mcmackin

Esther M. McMackin, 82 of Bremerton, Washington died September 10, 2007. She was born August 21, 1925 in Shelton, Washington to Arthur & Elizabeth (Plemons) Johnson. She attended school in Shelton & married Lon J. McMackin on June 13, 1945 in Seattle, Washington. He preceded her in death in 1994. Esther was a wonderful Mom and homemaker. She also worked for 10 years in the Country Store at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton. Esther liked reading and enjoyed crafts, especially embroidery. She loved gospel music and in particular, listening to her husband Lon and his uncle Gene Darling play their guitars. She was a previous member of Neighborhood Christian Center in Bremerton. Surviving are daughters Terry (Darrell) McKinley of Sequim, Washington & Cindy (Mark Broxton) Davis of Silverdale, Washington; grandchildren Jamey McKinley, Sheryl McKinley, Bryan Davis, Jerry McMackin, Connie Hammock & Corrinna Smith; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Kenneth McMackin. Visitation 9 am to Noon on Saturday, September 15th with a Celebration of Life Service on Tuesday, September 18th at 10:00 am, both at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Interment will follow at 11:30 am at Miller Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bremerton. Online memorial at www.rill.com
