Esther E. Nesseth, 84, long time resident of Port Orchard, died at Swedish Hospital in Seattle June 2, 2010 of lung cancer. Esther was born June 3, 1925 in Seattle to Emil and Elsie (Heino) Johnson. She was reared and educated in Seattle graduating from Magnolia High School in 1942 and attended Stuart Business School. She married Jennings Allen Nesseth Sept. 18, 1943. Esther was a devoted wife, life partner, mother of two boys. She was an expert tailor and clothes designer, world traveler, baker, gourmet cook, interior decorator, designer and the most honest and dearest religious person you could ever know. Being caring and understanding, she served on the 1st Lutheran Community Church of Port Orchard grieving committee which she joined in 1996 and eventually helped many with their losses. Esther was active in church activities, willing to participate in preparing, serving meals to those less fortunate and making holiday lefse for sale through the church. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Esther is preceded in death by her parents and husband Jennings. Survived by her two sons, Jay (Bonnie) of Seattle, and Jack of Las Vegas. Grandchildren, Kim Miller of Tracy, CA, Allen Conard of Saudi Arabia, Christina Rivera of Las Vegas, and Scott Nesseth of Port Orchard. There are also 7 great grandchildren.
