Ethel Johnson

Ethel D. Johnson, age 81, died Dec. 22, 1999 in Port Orchard, WA.  She was born Oct. 30, 1918 in LaMoure County, ND to Olaf & Inga Johnson and she was raised in Lisbon, ND.  She married Dale Johnson January 26, 1941 in the Standing Rock Church in Fort Ransom, ND.  Mrs. Johnson moved to Port Orchard in 1958.  She was a homemaker and the assistant activity director at Ridgemont Terrace for 8 years during the late 1970's and early 1980's.  She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and sang in the church choir.  She loved knitting, stitchery and was a member of the Children's Orthopedic Guild.  She is survived by her sons; Gary Johnson of Port Orchard, Kenneth Johnson of Port Orchard, Larry Johnson of Selah, Dennis Johnson of Seattle, brothers; Orville Johnson of  Seattle, Willard Johnson of Kent, grandchildren; David & Brian Johnson of Port Orchard, Nathan Johnson of Bothell, Matthew Johnson of Everett, Katie & Kevin Johnson of Selah, Scott Johnson of Anchorage, Todd Johnson of Tuscon, AZ., great grandchildren; Devyn & Trevor Johnson of Bothell, Elizabeth Johnson of Anchorage, AK.  She is preceded in death by her husband Dale, brothers; Joseph, Herbert, and Harold.  Funeral services will be held at the First Lutheran Church in Port Orchard, Dec. 29, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery.
