Ethel Skewis

Ethel E. Skewis of Port Orchard, WA. died February 12, 2007 in Port Orchard following a long battle with cancer. She was 84. Ethel was born March 29, 1922 in Buena, WA to Sophia and Grover Coleman. She was married to Grover Hill from 1940 to 1960; and, to Russell Skewis from 1960 to 1976. Ethel worked for Washington State University Extension as a Nutritional Aide for 10 years in Kitsap. She retired from that position. She was a life long TOPS member in Port Orchard, WA. Ethel enjoyed hunting until about 1997; always had Daschund dogs; and, enjoyed flowers. She was survived by sons - Gregg Hill of Port Orchard, WA. and Larry Hill of Madison, WI; daughters - Linda Rock of Port Orchard, WA. and Elaine Block of Tacoma, WA.; brothers - Grover "Bud" Coleman of Randle, WA., Robert Coleman of Glenoma, WA.; sisters - Ellen Forrest Morton, WA and Lucy LaFortune of TX. A funeral will be held Friday, February 16, 2007 at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, WA at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Morton City Cemetery, Morton, WA. 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2007.
