Eugene Stewart

Mr. Eugene W."Bud" Stewart, Age:90, resident of Port Orchard, Washington, died at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton on February 22, 2002.Bud was born on September 5, 1911 in Kingman, Kansas to James and Dora Stewart. He married Catherine M.(Stevenson) on September 24, 1936 in Idaho. She preceded him in death in 1992.Bud served in the United States Army National Guard from 1950-1959, attaining the rank of Master Sergeant.He spent thirty years as a welder at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, Washington, retiring in 1970.Bud was a member of the HiJoy Bowling Leagues in Port Orchard, and the Kitsap Peggers Cribbage Club.He is survived by his two daughters, Betty Anderson and Beverly Lucas of Port Orchard; thirteen grandchildren; twenty six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Buddy and Benny Stewart.Arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home and Crematory.
