Evan Francis Williams, a cherished friend to many, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Silverdale, Washington, at the age of 77.

Evan was born on December 30, 1946, to Frank George Mack and Bette Delores Evans in Erie, Pennsylvania. The family’s original surname, Maciukiewicz, was changed after they immigrated to the United States.

Evan proudly served his country in the Army with the 1st Squadron, 9th Air Cavalry Division, Bravo Blues Troop, as a U.S. Airborne Army Ranger in Quan Loi, Vietnam. During his military career, he received several commendations and medals for his bravery and service.

Following his military service, he worked for Southern Pacific Rail as a strategic planning coordinator and later founded his own SAP consulting firm with his wife Darlene, allowing him to combine his professional life with his passion for travel, both in U.S. and abroad.

In his later years, Evan and Darlene found a welcoming community in Bremerton upon finding their retirement home where they enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the area.
