Evelyn Marie Jensen

Evelyn M. Jensen, 98, died in Port Orchard on August 3, 2013. She was born November 9, 1914 in Snohomish to Louis & Lula (Akins) Vosgien. She graduated from Bremerton High School in 1932. She married William Blazick in 1932 and he preceded her in death in 1937. In 1938, she married Charles Jensen who also preceded her in death.

Evelyn was a homemaker who also worked for JC Penney. She was an antique button collector, enjoyed fishing in Alaska & recipes. She started Charlie’s Angels Button Club and was a member of Corinthian Chapter of Eastern Star in OR & was President of the Oregon State Button Society.

She is survived by son Douglas (Lucy) Jensen of Bonner’s Ferry, ID; daughters Barbara (Don) Winslow of Port Orchard & Nickie Clausing of Albany, OR; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and extended family Linda White, Merle & Barbara Johnson. Preceded in death by her siblings, Howard, Art, Edward Vosgien, Luella Lewis, Mae Odden & Hazel Mottern.
