Faye Huntington

Faye L. Huntington, 87 of Port Orchard, died in Bremerton on June 25, 2011.  She was born December 18, 1923 in Cottage Grove, OR to James & Sylvia (Thornton) Lebow.  She graduated from Cottage Grove HS in 1941.  She married Ralph “Red” Huntington January 20, 1946 in Cottage Grove.  He preceded her in death in 2006. Faye was a mother, grandma & great grandma who enjoyed her family, dog “Peaches”, reading, crosswords, politics, exploring wilderness, observing “elk” herds, Mt. St. Helens, gardening & crocheting.  She was a member of the Postal auxiliary and was active in political activities in Centralia, WA.  She attended sheetmetal school and repaired aircraft at McCord AFB during WWII – her favorite the B-17 which she rode in 2007. Surviving are daughters Charlene (Huntington) Yerrington of Olympia, WA, Mahala (Huntington) Krueger of Port Orchard & Gail (Huntington) Rosbach of Sammamish, WA; brothers Gale Lebow of Albany, OR, Deane (Barbara) Lebow of Rogue River, OR, Lyle (Karen) Lebow of Grants Pass, OR, Rex (Rosie) Lebow of Rogue River, OR; sister Alice Jordan of Madras, OR; grandchildren Lisa Cabe, Jeff & Chad Yerrington, Stacey Avery, Larren & Derek Krueger, Bryan Rosbach & Lindsay Gonzalez; great-grandchildren Tyler Yerrington, Brianna Eades, Desiree Yerrington, Michael Avery, Aidan Krueger, Owen & Eliott Yerrington.  Preceded in death by sisters Arlene Kivett & brother Claude in WWII. Special thanks to the staff at Ridgemont (Faye, Angela & Yvonne) and to the staff at hospice of Kitsap County and also Dr. Joseph Johnson.  Memorial service at 11:00 am on Friday, July 15, 2011 at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.  Inurnment will be Noon on July 16, 2011 at Mt.
