Florence Joanne Patison

Florence Patison, 74 of Port Orchard, died in Tacoma, WA on October 30, 2013. She was born in Barnesville, MN on February 3, 1939 to Owen and Mayadell (Hughart) Williams. She graduated from South Kitsap High in 1957 and married Jewell W. Patison on December 8, 1957 in Gorst, WA. He preceded her in death in 2004.

Florence was a Beautician for 42 years and owned Chic Curl in downtown Port Orchard for 25 years before moving to a shop in her home. She loved arts and crafts, tole painting, sewing and ballroom dancing. She was a member of Gorst Baptist Community Church for over 50 Years.

Surviving are daughters Patsy (Jim) VanCleef, Florence (Rich) Mitchell, Linda (David) McClellan, Karen (Joe) Lockwood, Becky (Doug) Vance; mother Mayadell Williams of Port Orchard, brothers Morris (Cheryl) Williams of Battleground, WA and Bob (Bonnie) Henningsgard of Vancouver, WA; sister Barbara (Ben) Skinner of Port Orchard; 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brother Owen Arthur Williams and sisters Judy Williams & Shirley Bender. Her world was full of many special people and friends who were family to her heart.

Funeral service at 1:00 pm on November 16, 2013 at Grace Bible Church, 7070 Bethel Burley Road SE, Port Orchard with reception to follow at the church. Visitation from 6-8pm on November 15, 2013 at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.
