Mrs. Florencia Cruz Manzano died at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton, Washington, on August 8, 2001. She had been a resident of Kitsap County for the past twenty years.Mrs. Manzano was born on October 10, 1912 in the Philippine Islands to Simplicio Cruz and Margarita (Ferrer)Cruz. She married Felix S. Manzano on June 12, 1947 in the Philippine Islands.Mrs. Manzano was a Clerk with the Philippine Education System for eighteen years. She enjoyed singing and cooking. She was an active member of Saint Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard, Washington.Florencia Cruz Manzano's husband, Felix S. Manzano, preceded her in death in 1976. She is survived by son, Ramon Manzano, of Port Orchard; daughters Norma Manzano and Cora Serrame of Port Orchard; Sister Simeona Adriano of Manila, Philippine Islands; and four grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, Simplicio and Margarita(Ferrer)Cruz; a brother, David Cruz, and a sister, Domingo Giron.Visitation for Mrs. Manzano is scheduled for August 15 and 16, 2001, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., at Rill Chapel In Port Orchard. A Catholic Rosary will be held in her memory at 3:p.m., August 16, 2001 at Rill Chapel. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:a.m. on Friday, 08-17-2001, at Saint Gabriel's Catholic Church in Port Orchard. A reception will follow Mass at Saint Gabriel's.Funeral arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home.
