Frances Haegele

Frances Annette Haegele, 75, of Port Orchard, Washington, was born March 2, 1937 in Texarkana, Texas, and passed away on July 8, 2012 in Gig Harbor, Washington. She was raised in Amarillo, Texas, where she met her husband Raymond A. Haegele Sr. while he was stationed at Amarillo Air Force Base. They fell in love and were married on December 8, 1956. This year would have been their 56th wedding anniversary. She is survived by her husband; 4 children, Marion Long of Mobile, Alabama, Pam Johnson of Chapin, South Carolina, Donna Dunham of Salem, Oregon and Raymond A. Haegele Jr. of Port Orchard, Washington; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was a member and greeter at the Christian Life Center Church and her bible was her constant companion. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and morning coffee with her friends at church on Sundays. She had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh and loved her cats. She enjoyed traveling in their motor home and panning for gold on their claim in Northern California with her husband. She made every one smile who was near her.
