Frances Geneva Hewson

November 11, 1941 — June 17, 2020

Frances Geneva, affectionately know as Geneva, was born in Watsonville, California on November 11, 1941 to Claude M. and Lorena M. (Bogges) Cooper. She attended schools in California and later in life moved to the Northwest.

She was a full-time mom and having raised nine children and loved to help with her numerous grandchildren as they came into and brightened her life. One of her fondest accomplishments was in going back to college and obtaining her adult high school diploma. One of her fondest memories was being around as the grandkids were being born.

Geneva was an avid reader and when she wasn’t reading books she was enjoying her hobbies of crocheting blankets for the family, watching her favorite TV shows, eating dinner with the family, writing recipe books and shopping.

She also enjoyed playing bingo, doing puzzles, and working with various arts and crafts. She liked dream catchers, and daisies of various colors but her favorites were blue, yellow, and green. She had an amazing way as a mother and grandmother and some of her favorite things outside of her hobbies were the Lord’s Prayer, the song Amazing Grace, and Elvis Presley.

Geneva passed away on June 17, 2020 at Stafford at Ridgemont in Port Orchard. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Florence and Frankie; husbands Jim, William, Joe, and Glenn.

She is survived by nine children and numerous grandchildren: Elizabeth, Rebecca, Shanda, Greg, Levi, David, Joe, Scott, Shane, Tristen, Tyler, Alexis, Ryan, Luke, Patience, Novalee, Cindy and Jessie.
