Frances Ostlund

Frances M. Ostlund, a resident of Bremerton, died on October 14, 2007 of natural causes. She was born in Lewistown, Montana on August 21, 1924 to Jack and Thelma (Anderson) Gibson. Her husband Harry Ragan of 36 years and second husband Oliver Ostlund of 17 years both preceded her in death. She graduated from Fergus High School in Lewistown in 1942. Frances was the owner and operator of Lotus General Store in California for 26 years, retiring in 1988. She also worked for McDonald Douglas as an aircraft riveter in Long Beach, CA during WWII. She was a member of the Gold Trail Grange and the United Church of Christ. Frances was absolutely dedicated to her family. She is survived by her sons Steven Ragan (Leslie) of Wellington, Nevada and Wayne Ragan (Kelly) of Lotus, CA; daughter Janet Stegman (Jack) of Port Orchard and stepdaughter Michelle Burkhard (Paul) of California and Sister Neva Davis of Texas; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be in California at a later date.
