Francis B. ‘Frank’ Bergin, 68, a resident of Port Orchard, died peacefully at home on July 24, 2008 of colon cancer. He was born in Black Duck, Minnesota on September 24, 1939 to Francis and Hattie (Conway) Bergin. The family later relocated to California and Frank attended high school and completed some college credits in San Francisco. He served in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1966 as a Radio Operator achieving the rank of Airman First Class. He worked at Keyport Naval Torpedo Station for 30 years retiring as a Supervisor of Computer Operations. He enjoyed photography, bowling, bike riding and spending time with his children and granddaughter. Frank is survived by his son William F. Bergin of Seattle; daughter Erin Booth (Jim) of Leavenworth; brother Charles Bergin (Kay) of Santa Clara, CA and granddaughter, Rebecca Booth. He was preceded in death by his sister Mary G. Johnson. Celebration of Life will be at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 2:00 pm.
