Frank "Phil" Kirgan

Frank “Phil” Kirgan, 80, died at the Washington State Veterans Home in Retsil, WA on June 19, 2014. He was born April 17, 1934 in Albany, CA to Frank C. & Verda Mae (Rowe) Kirgan. He graduated from Vallejo High in 1953 and attended Vallejo Jr. College in CA. He married Linda Wright on June 16, 1985 in Reno NV.

Phil retired from Mare Island Naval Shipyard as a Sheetmetal Shop Superintendent in 1989.
He served in the U.S. Army from 10/55 to 10/57.

Phil enjoyed fishing, music, motorcycles, woodworking and reading. He was a member of the Mare Island Superintendents Association in Vallejo, CA.

Surviving are wife Linda; sons Ron (Deanna Ramirez) and John “Mo”; daughters Donna (Chris) Love and Laura (Marty) Voight; grandchildren Kristn, Jason, Marlie, Haley, Robert & Jenna. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Verdamae “Suzie” Kilitzian.

Memorial Service at 1:30pm on July 18, 2014 at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Inurnment at Sunset Lane Memorial Park. Online memorial at www.rill.com . In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Cornerstone Christian Fellowship at 901 Wycoff in Bremerton.
