Frank Smith,

Frank LeRoy Southern Smith, Sr., 62 a life long resident of Port Orchard, died in Oklahoma on November 29, 2008. He was born in Bremerton on August 22, 1946 to Kenneth and Lilian (Brockhoff) Smith. Frank served in the US Army during the Viet Nam Era.  He worked for the Post Office in Port Orchard and was known as ‘the Singing Post Man’ and was a member of the Turtle Club. He loved music, especially Gospel and he loved making people laugh. He enjoyed sports and was a great fan of local school sports.  He is survived by his sons Frank, Jr. (Amber) and Adam (Amanda) Smith; special daughter Hollie Marten; mother Lilian Smith; brothers Eugene, Fred and Jonathan Smith; Sisters Laurellei Jackson, Nanette Smith and Cheryl Tyson; granddaughter Faith Smith and grandson Owen Smith; numerous nieces and nephews.  Celebration of his life will be Sunday, January 4, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.
