Frankie Lee Bland 74, died at his home in Port Orchard, Washington on March 28, 2007. He was born on September 16, 1923 in Baker, Oregon. His father was Frankie Lee Bland, Sr. Frankie worked for 32 years as a Painter at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Naval Subase Bangor, and Naval Undersea Warefare Center at Keyport, retiring in 1986. He served in the National Guard from 1950 to 1952. Frankie loved horses, western memorabilia, the outdoors, and collecting old coins. He was a member of the Lutheran Church and the Kitsap County Sheriff's Posse. Surviving are son Kris (Wallene Komenda) Bland of Port Orchard; daughters Becky (Steven) Cramer and Carole (Forrest) Wilkinson, both of Port Orchard, and Lori (Jeff) Hill of Olalla, Washington; step-brother Berry Flint; step-sister Mary Flint; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
