Fred Barger

Fred "Freddie" Ray Barger of Port Orchard, Washington died November 15, 2004 in Port Orchard. He was 52. He was born October 6, 1952 in Vancouver, Washington to Allan C. and Marilyn L. (Catherman) Barger. He graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington in 1970; and, attended Olympic College. He entered into the United States Coast Guard in 1972. Fred worked as a landscaper; and, also worked at the Kitsap County Humane Society. He loved outdoors, camping, animals. His love of animals led to his job with Kitsap County Humane Society. Fred was a member of the South Colby Methodist Church. He is survived by his parents - Allan and Marilyn (Catherman) Barger of the Port Orchard, Washington family home; brother - Winslow Barger (& wife, Laura); sisters - Shirley Grabner (& husband, Rick), Barbara Bugenig (& husband, Skip); nephews - Joshua and Ben Bugenig and John-Allan Barger; niece - Jordan Barger; many uncles, aunts and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held at Colby Methodist Church Saturday, November 20, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Kitsap Mental Health Foundation 5455 Almira Dr. N.E.
