Freda Ohlund

Mrs. Freda Ohlund, Age: 84, died of natural causes in Port Orchard, Washington on September 24, 2001.She had been born on July 17, 1917 in Herndon, Kansas to George and Rosa (Ecker) Allacher. On June 2, 1948, Freda married Erik Ohlund in Bremerton, Washington. He preceded her in death in 1978.Mrs. Ohlund was a homemaker. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Sons of Norway, and the Lutheran faith.Her survivors include two sons, Lanny Ross of Bremerton and Alan Ross of Port Orchard; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a step-daughter, Susan Hart.Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Thursday, September 27, 2001 at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2001, also at Rill Chapel. The Reverend Larry Mead will officiate. A reception will follow at Rill Chapel. Private interment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home.
