Z Our muiscal Son who lives in our hearts Z Garrett Marlin Wolff July 2nd 1996 to June 4th 2012 – He had over 15 magical years with us on earth. Garrett lived a full inquisitive life. As a youngster he was very interested in science often doing extra projects devised by his parents. Later on he found the love of the guitar. Garrett became a guitar outlier by putting in his 10,000 hours and playing to the moon. He played at many venues and with many of the best guitar players in the region. He was considered one of the best, if not the best young guitar player in the area. The Wolff family is very appreciative of all the instructors and people who mentored, jammed, advised and befriended Garrett. His music lives in our hearts. The 6th string provided a million combinations of notes for endless exploration for a young guy we often called the G-man. In the last year Garrett mastered the 7th string and was talking about his next guitar being an 8 or 9 string. Garrett chose to take his life – for reasons we can never explain. Life is about the journey and not the destination. Please communicate this to your child and teach them to celebrate just how wonderful this opportunity called life is. For those of you wanting to make a donation please make it to the North Mason School Music Boosters or a youth suicide prevention organization of your choice. A celebration of Garrett’s life, presided over by Father Phuong V Hoang was held at the Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard on June 9. He was laid to rest by Father Phuong V Hoang at Sunset Lane Memorial Park. We encourage you to leave a remembrance by clicking on "Sign Guestbook" at the bottom of this page.
