Garry Latham Combs, 24, of Port Orchard, WA, died November 6, 2005, with loved ones by his side. He had complications from Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy. Garry was born December 18, 1980, in Puyallup, WA. He graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard in 1999. He enjoyed sports, especially watching the Seattle Mariners, Sonics, U of W Huskies, South Kitsap Wolves, and the Dallas Cowboys. Garry played Challenger League baseball and was an assistant coach for the Special Olympics Basketball team. He achieved the Arrow of Light award in Cub Scouts and enjoyed attending the Muscular Dystrophy Summer Camp in North Bend, WA. He had a large frog collection and was especially close to his dog, D.J. Garry is survived by his parents, Jim and Becky (Latham) Froelich, of Port Orchard, WA; brother, Jimmy Froelich, of Anchorage, AK; grandparents, Robert Froelich, of Defiance, OH, and J. and Renee' Latham, of Marble Falls, TX; aunts and uncles, Shirley Latham, of Lago Vista, TX, Alma Lefebvre, of Lago Vista, Fred and Renee Latham, of Killeen, TX, Sarah and Greg Harris, of Haslett, TX, Bonnie Latham, of Puyallup, WA, Barb and Tom Keehn, of Dayton, OH, Pam and Dave Schneberger, of Dayton, Andy and Deb Froelich, of Burbank, OH, Joann Froelich, of Defiance, Pat and Roger Rethmel, of Defiance, Matt Froelich, of Columbus, IN, Cathy and Kevin Kahle, of Defiance, Therese and Doug Clevenger, of Wooster, OH; and special cousins, Kirk, Lindsay, Christina, Brooke, Joshua, and Brianna. Garry was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.W. and Bonnie Latham and Clara Froelich. Services will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2005, 4:00PM, at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, WA. Viewing will be Tuesday, November 8, at the Tribute Center. A second service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2005, 1:00PM, at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow at the Greathouse Cemetery in Temple, TX.
