Garry "Gearhart" T. Linenko died June 7, 2003 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. He was 89.He was born June 27, 1913 in Pierre, South Dakota to Louis and Lena (Brayko) Linenko.He married Stella E. (Durston) Linenko September 18, 1938 in Philip, South Dakota.Garry graduated from welding school in Omaha, Nebraska.Gary was a real life cowboy and rancher in South Dakota - working at farms and ranches before moving to Washington. He became a welder at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington. He worked for 33 years and retired in 1977.From 1952 - 1960 he helped organize and operate the Bethel Volunteer Fire Department.He enjoyed hunging, fishing, clam digging, RVing; was a huge Seattle Mariners Fan, a member of the C.B. Club called the Walketicehe Club; loved family get-togethers for pot lucks and picnics; was a member of the Port Orchard Eagles #2338; loved driving his Ford Tractor; and, was a member of the Bethel Grange #404.He is survived by his wife, Stella Linenko, of the Port Orchard family home; daughters - Charlotte Watson of Manchester, Washington, Sharon Cain (& husband, Jerry) of Port Orchard, Washington, Charlene Wise (& husband, Gary) of Port Orchard, Washington; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Short of Port Orchard, Washington; numerous nieces and nephews; 7 grandchildren: Jodi Kandlik of Poulsbo, Washington, Jim & Joe Wise of Port Orchard, Gary Watson of Port Orchard, Mike Cain of Bremerton, WA; Pat Cain of Tacoma, WA, Nancy Bear of Apache Junction, AZ; 7 great-grandchildren: Brian, Daniel & Elizabeth Cain of Bremerton, William & Mitchell Kandlik of Poulsbo, WA, Jared & Lucas Watson of Port Orchard, WA.Services will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington Thursday June 12, 2003 at 1:00 p.m.Interment will be held at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.Memorial Donations may be made to:Bethel-Burley Fire Dept.
