Gary Ecklund

Gary (Pork) Ecklund of Port Orchard,Washington died May 23, 2006 at Tacoma General Hospital. He was 51. He was born June 25, 1954 in Bremerton, Washington to Donald and Tootie (Miller) Ecklund. He married Delynn D. (Payseno) Ecklund May 21, 2000 in Port Orchard, Washington. Gary graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington in 1972. He served as a Paratrooper in the Army for 3 years. Gary also worked in construction. He was a member of the Belfair Eagles. Gary enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, family, friends, cooking, gardening and wood-working. He is survived by his wife - Delynn (Payseno) Ecklund of the Port Orchard, Washington family home; parents - Don and Tootie Ecklund of Port Orchard, Washington; daughter - Dawnelle Ecklund of Port Orchard, Washington; brother - Larry (Cindy) Ecklund of Port Orchard, Washington, Patch (Darcy) Ecklund of Port Hadlock, Washington; sisters - Donna Barber of Fife, Washington and Kathy (Lenn) Collins of Port Orchard, Washington; and, by numerous special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandparents - Roy and Veronica Ecklund. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Ecklund Hall on Glenwood in Port Orchard, Washington from 1-4 pm on May 27, 2006.
