Gary W. Smith, 68, died March 5, 2014 in Port Orchard, WA. He was born June 5, 1945 in Bremerton, WA to Erwin & Helen (Aldridge) Smith.
Gary worked as a Mail Carrier for 35 years, retiring in 2001. He served for 4 years in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He also worked as a volunteer firefighter in his community.
Gary was a member of First Christian Church of Port Orchard for 40 years, and helped build a new wing on the church. He enjoyed road trips, especially to the ocean. He had numerous pets, but his favorite was “Oliver” his Yorkie who he had for 16 years. Donations can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
