Genevieve Rogers

Genevieve 'Gen' Rogers, 83 of Port Orchard, died February 23, 1999.  She was born June 13, 1915 in Kimberley, British Columbia to William & Matilda (Leach) Dacre.  Gen graduated from Gault Medical College in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada in 1937.  She married Paul Rogers May 28, 1965 in Tacoma, Washington.  Mrs. Rogers worked as a Registered Nurse for 32 years at Harrison Memorial, Tacoma General, and Naval Hospital in Bremerton.  She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi in Bremerton and the Alumni Association of Gault Medical College.Survivors include her husband; daughter Arlene Elvrom of Tacoma; brother Allen Rice of Kimberley, BC; sister Louise Maranchak of Kimberley, BC; numerous grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.  Memorial Service at Rill Chapel, Port Orchard February 26, 1999 at 2:00 PM.
