Genevieve Mae Smith of Port Orchard, Washington died February 18, 2004 at Frontier Rehab and Extended Care Center in Longview, Washington. She was 87. She was born February 2, 1917 in Rainier, Washington to Grover and Anna (Norton) London. Genevieve married John S. Smith in Sumner, Washington in 1947. She attended school in Sumner, Washington. Genevieve was a homemaker; and, former sales clerk at the 5 & 10 Store on Bay Street in Port Orchard, Washington. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, knitting, jigsaw puzzles and trout fishing. She was a member and former Sunday school teacher at the 1st Baptist Church in Port Orchard, Washington. Genevieve is survived by son - Grover Ramsey (& wife, Bonnie) of Marysville, Washington; daughters - Jeannie Green (& husband, Ken) of Clatskanie, Oregon, Janie Knapp (& husband, John) of Roundup, Montana, Genevieve Hermes (& husband, Jerry) of San Jose, California; sister - Ardella Glandon of Sun Valley, California; numerous grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: son - George Ramsey. A viewing will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington on Tuesday, February 24, 2004 and on Wednesday, February 25, 2004 from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and on Thursday, February 26, 2004 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard, Washington on Thursday, February 26, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial Donations may be made to: 1st Baptist Church, 2308 Sidney Road Port Orchard, Washington 98366
