Mr. George Patrick Chiasson died at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington on October 21, 2001. He was fifty years old.Mr. Chiasson was born on August 4, 1951 in Gary, Indiana to Edward and Margaret(Scasney) Chiasson. He graduated from Hardaway High, Columbus, Georgia in 1969. Upon graduation from high school, George joined the United States Navy as a Medic. George did a tour the Vietnam Arena toward the end of the war. He married Christine French in Columbus Georgia April 25, 1971. While in the Navy, he attended Physician's Assistant college at George Washington University in Washington D.C., graduating in 1980.After graduation he continued to serve as a Physician Asssistant attaining the rank of Chief Warrant Officer five. Eventually the military commissioned the Physicians Assistants and George retired as a Lieutenant after 23 years of service in 1992. He received the Navy Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation(two), Battle ''E'' Ribbon(two), National Defense Service Medal(two), Vietnam Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, and two Good Conduct Medals. George worked as a Physicians assistant for Group Health of Port Orchard, Washington until his death. George enjoyed being a BMX Medic for his sons BMX bicycle racing, he also had established a club called ''Where's George?'', and was a member of the Silverdale Lutheran Church.He is survived by his wife, Christine, of Silverdale, Washington mother, Margaret Chiasson of Columbus, Georgia; sons Paul, Joshua and Andrew Chiasson of Silverdale; and brother, Eddy Chiasson of Summerville, South Carolina.Memorials may be sent to the ''Chiasson College Fund'' at Post Office Box 6278, Silverdale, Washington, 98315; or anything that assists Senior Citizens.A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home and Crematory in Port Orchard, Washington.
