George Lutz

George W. Lutz, 71 of Port Orchard, died in Bremerton on January 11, 2009.  he was born December 23, 1937 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Barney & Hazel (Friddle) Lutz.  He graduated from South Kitsap HS in 1956 and married Teri Gordon on August 9, 1958 in Omaha, Nebraska. George worked as a Produce Supervisor in retail grocery in the Puget Sound area for 40 years, retiring in 2001.  He also served in the U.S. Air Force as an Airman 2nd Class from 1956-1960.  He loved playing poker, reading western novels, and fishing. Surviving are wife Teri; sons Derek (Linda) Lutz of Roy, WA, Mike (Cindy) Lutz and Jeff (Linda) Lutz, both of Port Orchard; brothers Harry (Kathy) Lutz of NY and James Lutz of OR; grandchildren Caleigh, Becky, Robin, Eddie, Melissa & Katie; and great-grandchildren Evan & Emilee Beaver.  He was preceded in death by brother Rick Lutz. Graveside service at 2:00 pm on January 16, 2009 at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard.
