George Luzik, Born in Tyre Penn. to Michael and Bertha Luzik, passed away on Nov 1, 2013 at Orchard Pointe Care Facility. George enlisted in the Civilian Conservation Corps at the age of 16 and served from 1939-1941. George started work at PSNS in July of 1941 where he met the love of his life Ruth Kaemmle they married Aug 31, 1944 one week prior to departing to serve in WWII, he served in the Asian pacific and fought in the battle of Okinawa at the end of WWII they settled in Bremerton and started their family He worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard from July 1941 retiring Dec 1977. Starting his career as a Ship-fitter, and retiring as a planner/estimator. George enjoyed playing cards, casinos, golfing, traveling, and spending time with family. He is survived by three sons, George (Kay) Luzik, Dennis (Cheri) Luzik, and Brad (Marcie) Luzik. 6 Grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter, and his close companion Doodle. He is preceded in death by his wife Ruth, and his grandson Tim. Services will be at the Rill Chapel Sunday Nov 10, @ 10:00 am. Sharing of memories in the reception area after the service.
