George Thomas

George F. Thomas of Port Orchard, Washington died January 3, 2005 at his residence. He was 86. He was born October 21, 1918 in Taylor County, Wisconsin to William and Carrie (Richmond) Thomas. George married Frances (Wood) Thomas July 3, 1941 in Port Angeles, Washington. They moved to Washington in 1939; and lived in Tacoma from 1946 - 1979; then, 23 years in Belfair, Washington. He was a Union Carpenter - retiring in 1980. George loved bowling (was instructor at Hi-Joy Bowl for over 20 years) bowling, bowling, bowling. He is survived by his wife - Frances Thomas of the Port Orchard, Washington family home; daughters - Janet Wright (& husband, Michael), Jeanie Fisk (& husband, Butch), Jill Myre (& husband, Oscar); 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 15 brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington on Saturday, January 8, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial Donations may be made to: Hospice of Kitsap County P.O.
