Ms. Georgia Emma(Smith) Johnson died on July 31, 2001 in Port Orchard, Washington.She was born on October 4, 1907 in Newcastle, Washington to George A. and Pearlbelle (Rouse) Smith. She graduated from South Kitsap Union High School in Port Orchard.On August 31, 1936, Georgia married William A. Johnson in Port Orchard. Mr. Johnson preceded her in death, passing in 1960.She worked as a restaurant cook and a homemaker for sixty years, retiring in 1960.Georgia was a member of Eastern Star, and really enjoyed flower gardening.She is survived by a son, Lincoln G. Beal, SMS, USAF(Ret), Colville, Washington; four grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Georgia was preceded in death by Earl and Charles Smith, brothers; Alice(Smith) Beal, sister; and Charles R. Beal, son.A Memorial service will be held in her honor on August 18, 2001, at 2 p.m., at Rill Chapel, 1151 Mitchell Avenue, Port Orchard. Inurnment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home.
